Excellent post from Sital over on Career Hub. He makes great points about how we can set ourselves up for job search failure.
It's an especially good read for anyone feeling knocked down by economic news and I found many of his points just as applicable to small business owners as to job seekers. Food for thought!

Sital wrote a great post. I think the overarching reason why people fail in their job search attempts is the simplest: they don't try and they don't put in the work necessary.
As I recently overheard, job searching should BE your fulltime job if you're motivated enough to find one.

First you have to know where the jobs are before you mount a strategy to go after them. Most executive job seekers look to executive recruiters and job boards for open positions. The problem with this is recruiters get 15% of all executive searches and fill half of them, and only 1% of anybody ever gets a job from a job board.
